Who was she talking to on the phone? Lincoln Veronica was talking to Lincoln on the phone when the "police" showed up. The "police" were actually the men who were ordered to protect Terrence. Lincoln heard the gunshots over the phone and he was terrified at Veronica's death.

Sammy found out Michael was escaping. Michael tricked him to have a look at the tunnel that they had dug. Earlier on, Michael had taken away a small piece of metal rod that supported the whole structure. So when Sammy went up to see the tunnel, the structure collapsed and he was buried alive. It referred to the place where Michael hid the box of nitroglycerin. Where was the place? Apache Desert Ghost exhibit Michael knew that nitroglycerin needed to be stored at a cold place so he hid it in the Apache Desert Ghost exhibit.
Nitroglycerin is an explosive substance which is used primarily in the manufacture of dynamite. Marvin Gupta by injecting him with some dangerous drugs.

However, the test the product, finds the truth but Michael is saved by Sucre. T-Bag escapes by removing his severed hand which was chained to the radiator, and he tracks Geary by following a GPS he planted in the money bag. T-Bag follows Geary to a hotel and kills him. Bellick, who is at the hospital after Geary assaulted him, is questioned by local police who doubt some of his story.
While left alone, Bellick calls Geary's cell phone and threatens him--only to later learn that Geary is dead. Disturbed by his behavior, Michael visits a church to confess his sins. While speaking to the priest, he mentions that when he was a child, he watched a man bleed to death. In exchange for a plane ride out of the country, Michael must supply medical nitroglycerin. The nitroglycerin is the mysterious item Michael attempted to dig up at the botanical garden when he was almost arrested.
Michael and Sucre tie them all up and interrogate them for the location. Coyote's cousin gives them the location but begs Michael to release them to get Coyote to a hospital or he will bleed to death.
Sucre tells Michael to ignore them as they wouldn't of done the same thing, Michael releases them. Before they depart Coyote gives Michael the real location. Carlos testing the liquid to make sure it's Nitro-glycerine.
