Check it out--certainly worth a try. Other than a tremor that went away after discontinuing the med , it worked really well for controlling mania and psychosis. It even brought me out of social isolation and helped me feel more "normal" in the world. I go back to Geodon if my psychotic symptoms return, but normally regular mood stabilizers keep me in balance.

I got what you meant. As someone mentioned try getting approved for patient assistance. I am on that program for abilify and seroquel. You apply to the drug maker and include the top copy of your tax return. I filled out the paperwork and my doc's office handled the rest. When I received approval, the meds were sent to the office for me to pick up. I am mostly hypomania to mania, with very little depression Right now with no meds I drink to regain my sanity I am thinking I need an antianxiety medication again, also.

Next week and then well see what they try. This is an extremely supportive group and you will meet many new friends with the same issues you deal with. As for medication there are soooo many options. I have been through alot of them myself and failed due to one side effect or another. I currently take Depakote ER along with Lithium. I have luckily been stable now since I started the Lithium a few months ago.
I feel like I am almost back to my old self again. It is possible to regain stability it just takes time and as Jessy said trial and error.
